Shamika Winston Memories July 27, 2012
I never got the chance to actually meet Miss Marsha, but we spoke on the phone and stayed in contact by letters plenty of times. She was a wonderful grandmother to my children James and Jamesha from a distance! She always stayed in touch with them and I am so upset they never got a chance to spend time with her. The kids used to laugh so hard on how she would get them mixed up on the phone. She would bust out laughing while saying they sound so much alike! She will be truly missed and never forgotten!
Monique Stewart Birthday Cards. . . . July 15, 2012
As I approach my 30th I realize that I won't be getting a birthday card from you. You always got me funny birthday card, every year. I still have a lot of them. They were so funny that you'd be smiling before I even opened it because it made you laugh and they always made me laugh. I'm going to miss that this year and beyond.  Sometimes you'd bake me a nice cake or buy one. If there was one thing on my bday I could count on,  It was a card from you. With you gone, I know I won't get a card anymore. . .I look forward to those cards and your early morning phone call to say happy birthday. I guess I never knew how special those moments were until realizing that I no longer have them. . . .I think I will go buy myself a card I think you'd think is funny : )

I never thought about all the little things you did for me that has become a staple in my life. our routine way of showing our love. . .I want that back so bad but I am grateful for the memories mom.

On of my moms saying ( IN THAT ORDER)
Amy Hrdlicka
I remember the first time I went to Miss Marsha's house with Candace...she tried to give me anything she could give away that day!  A hat, a purse, shoes, you name it she wanted to give me something.  I was nervous, because Candace is so crazy I wondered what in the world her mom would be like...yep I found out where she gets it from.  After that day, Miss Marsha treated me like her own.  Whenever Candace went to eat at Mom's I got a plate too.  To this day I know I cannot cook my greens as well as she did (SO GOOD!) but hers were the first I ever ate and haven't stopped making them for my little girl since.  Peace and love to Marsha's whole family,,,,and I am so thankful that I knew her in this lifetime.

P.S. I stole the pic of Marsha from her facebook page even tho I know she never really went on there. I put it up but I think in the wrong spot. Anyway, I think it is a great picture of her!

Marsha,
I've known you for the last I'd say about seven years thru work at RGIS. You were my comic relief and we used to work in the same aisles of stores so we could laugh and laugh. We both just cracked each other up. I was at a grocery store yesterday and I got sad thinking of when we used to count stores like these. I'm still trying to digest that I won't be able to count with you anymore.
Just like you told me last week regarding my return to school after 21 years..."I'm going to keep checking with you to make sure you get the A's you know you can get. Well, as of now I do have three A's and a high B, almost an A. I will continue and especially now in your honor.
To all of Marsha's family, my deepest condolences. I've met some of her family. Of course I know Johnny and I've met at least one of her daughter's and her grandchildren within the last few years. She was a great friend and I'm going to miss her immensely.

What's amazing is, I stood at your bedside staring at you mom and yet the last vision of you I have was when you dropped Cale off at home 3 days prior. . .no matter in which state of self I saw you, I will always remember you in your beautiful natural state, always!! LOVE YOU!!!

Marsha was the mom of one of my bestest/dear friends (Monique); she was the first woman who told me "you always gotta serve fish w spagetti". lol. I thought it was strange cause I never heard of that before; but she said it was a must. I still think of that to this day everytime I cook spagetti. Her smile was as bright as the sun & I loved her sense of humor. I see where Monique gets it from. You will in my Prayers Ms. Marsha, Rest in paradise!

I love the fact that my mom was a neat freak but OCD was to much. She had things in certain ways to a point it was annoying as heck lol! but at the end of the day I learned to value that part of her I know this is why I am who I am today!
